Through practice, the healing benefits of yoga can be achieved by anyone with a chronic injury or condition. Yoga therapy is especially suitable for those whose physical limitations prevent them from joining a group class.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A SESSION
The most beneficial aspect of yoga therapy is that it puts the power of healing back into your hands. During the sessions you will be given all the tools you need to practice yoga in a safe and appropriate manner to help your particular ailment. You will be guided through a sequence of therapeutic yoga poses tailored to your specific needs, and be given a sequence of poses to practice at home. The teacher can also take photos of the postures for you to keep and refer to in your home practice. Each lesson is 50-70 minutes long. Props are provided and a brief wellness consultation is included in your first session.
IYENGAR YOGA
The sessions are conducted in the Iyengar style of yoga. Iyengar Yoga emphasizes correct anatomical alignment and uses props such as blankets, straps, and blocks to help achieve the postures safely. These methods of working have refined the therapeutic aspects of the poses, and often result in the elimination of chronic aches and pains caused by injury or aging.

TESTIMONIAL
"I am practically pain free since learning your routines. I do them almost every day, at least 5 days a week for 30 to 45 minutes. I can work, and lift, and bike, and hike with much greater confidence and ease. I am not afraid to move anymore. Thanks for your help." - Leland Forester
