Class Descriptions

BLISS YOGA
Profoundly meditative, Bliss Yoga uses breath work and release techniques to create deep opening in the muscles around the spine. As the spine releases tension, the effects radiate throughout the nervous system and entire body to facilitate deep relaxation and a blissful inner state. All levels welcome.

IYENGAR YOGA
Iyengar yoga is the most widely practiced yoga style in the United States today. It uses props, timing and sequencing to maximize opening throughout the body, increase flexibility and develop strength. Iyengar Yoga emphasizes precise alignment, and poses are often individualized for the needs of different bodies.

IYENGAR 1
Beginners start here. Learn the fundamentals of Iyengar Yoga. Open to all levels of students.

IYENGAR 2
Prerequisite: At least 1 year previous study of Iyengar Yoga and current regular practice of Sarvangasana.

POWER YOGA
A rigorous yoga style directed at creating the highest level of energy, vitality and freedom. Learn how to work hard, with sensitivity and absolute energy. In this class you will practice arm balances, jump backs and jump forwards, inversions, twists, and meditation. Be prepared to sweat.

PRENATAL YOGA
A slow paced class suitable for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters. You will be guided through poses that strengthen and open your body to prepare for child bearing, and
aid in relieving the common discomforts your body experiences during pregnancy. Fathers to be are also welcome to join the class and share the experience. [click here for more info]

RECOVERY YOGA
Recovery Yoga integrates the wisdom and healing techniques of Yoga with the tools of 12-Step Recovery. Learn ways to revitalize your body and boost your immune system to create a strong foundation in health, so you can face the challenges and stresses of daily life without resorting/relapsing into old addictive behaviors. SLOW FLOW YOGA
Meditation in motion. Explore the yoga postures from the inside out, using the breath to integrate your natural energies, release tension, build strength, and unify your body and mind. Beginners & All Levels welcome.

VINYASA YOGA
An intuitive flow-style yoga that integrates breath, movement, alignment and awareness. The linked flow of postures build heat, and increase stamina, strength and flexibility. Flow Yoga generates a trans-formative, balancing effect in the body and mind.

CORE CHALLENGE
Core Challenge will teach you how to work the core effectively to improve your posture, your power and your body's potential. [click here for more info]

PILATES MAT CLASS
Mat exercises utilizing your own body weight for resistance. Carefully performed movements that create lean muscle tone and improve posture. Suitable for all fitness levels.
