Beth Birenbaum Throughout her life, Beth has been involved in various athletic activities such as gymnastics, aerobics, and surfing and snowboarding. Beth was first exposed to yoga in 1999 at a gym, and out of her desire to intensify her practice she began studying Iyengar yoga in 2000.
As an ex-gymnast, Beth was attracted to the precision and attention to detail that Iyengar yoga emphasizes. Beth was also drawn by the transformative power of yoga – the ability to change not only the physical aspects of a person, but also the emotional and spiritual.
Before teaching yoga, Beth taught gymnastics, surfing and snowboarding. Therefore, it was a natural progression for her to combine her teaching experience with her love for yoga. She is currently enrolled in an intensive two year Iyengar teacher training program with the intention of expanding her knowledge, deepening her personal practice, and bringing yoga’s life-enhancing benefits to others.
Beth teaches Iyengar yoga on Sundays at 10AM. |
